The young QB, who recently became a father for the second time, has been absolutely sensational, year after year. He already has a Super Bowl title win to his name and this year as well, he is proving to be an unstoppable force.
Till now, the Chiefs have won 9 out of their 11 games and Mahomes himself is the absolute favorite to win league MVP honors. However, after the recent win against the Rams, Mahomes was not very happy with himself.
When Erin Andrews interviewed Mahomes on the sidelines after the emphatic 26-10 win, Mahomes was happy for the team, but looked dejected with the way the offense performed.

Patrick Mahomes Wants The Chiefs’ Offense To Perform Better Against The Bengals Next Week
A baffled Erin Andrews asked Mahomes why he thought his individual performance was ugly, to which he responded by saying, “we take pride on the red zone and I felt like we didn’t execute at a high level in red zone. Dumb dumb interception at the end of the game.”
However, Mahomes went on to add that it is a team game and he is elated that the defense stepped up and ended up guiding the team to an important win.
“We didn’t execute at a high level in the red zone, I threw the dumb interception at the end of the game, but the defense stepped up.”

Mahomes also stated that the offense would need to step up if they want to win next week against the last season’s Super Bowl runner-ups, the Cincinnati Bengals.
The way Mahomes took responsibility for his actions even when his team won speaks volumes about the atmosphere within the unit. Against the Rams, Mahomes scored 1 touchdown for 320 yards but the one interception he threw really disappointed him which is why, even after the victory, he wasn’t in a celebratory mood.
By some distance, Mahomes is the numero uno quarterback in the league at the moment and the fact that he has got great leadership skills only boosts Kansas City’s chances to win another title this season.
