How good was Winfield Jr. as a rookie?
Antoine Winfield Jr. had a solid year as a rookie, recording a combined 94 tackles, 3 sacks and an interception as well. He improved throughout the year, and became one of the young superstars on the Buccaneers’ defense. Being drafted as the 45th overall pick, he has lived up to his hype.
Winfield earned his name most notedly in the Super Bowl, after shutting down receiver Tyreek Hill and taunting him. However, Winfield did get called out by various star players such as Davante Adams. following his actions. He was also fined $7815 by the NFL for his taunting.
Will Tom Brady retire this year?
While holding the Super Bowl trophy in his hands, Brady openly stated he will be coming back next year. He also said “you already know that” confidently when asked the question. The 43-year-old champion might even sign an extension with the Buccaneers next season.
Brady has no reason not to return next season. However, the Buccaneers might not be the same team next year. Key players such as Lavonte David, Shaquil Barrett and Chris Godwin are set to be free agents this year.
