The Denver Broncos were over the moon when they were able to rope in Russell Wilson into their squad. The experienced quarterback had achieved a lot for the Seahawks before coming to Denver which gave fans hope that he will guide the Broncos to a successful season.

However, things haven’t really gone as planned for Broncos. In fact, everything that could have gone wrong, did go wrong for them as right from the first game, Wilson has been absolute disastrous.
In fact, his performances have been so bad that his “Let’s Ride” motto has turned into a meme material. The Broncos have disappointed so much that their game against the Chiefs was shifted to a less important spot from primetime as fans were not willing to see another one of the boring Denver clashes.
Broncos fire Nathaniel Hackett after disastrous first season
It was evident that after all this, the axe will fall on someone and finally, after another embarrassing defeat against the Rams, the management has taken a call to fire head coach Nathaniel Hackett.
We have parted ways with Head Coach Nathaniel Hackett.

The Broncos issued a detailed statement through their Twitter account making it clear that they have parted ways with Hackett. This was Nathaniel’s maiden season for the Broncos and after a 4-11 start, the franchise took a call to end ties with him.
It is true that we can’t put all the blame on the coach for the team’s overall failure but the axe had to fall on someone and not many would raise a voice against this decision as Hackett wasn’t able to do his job well.
He didn’t make necessary changes, he couldn’t get things between Wilson and other players right. His strategies didn’t work, his timeout calling was absolutely treacherous and finally, the inevitable transpired.
As far as Wilson is concerned, well he has been so terrible that Baker Mayfield, yes Baker Mayfield looked an enormously better quarterback than him in the latest Rams vs Broncos clash.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Wilson if the Broncos continue to struggle under his leadership.
