Tom Brady teamed up with Phil Mickelson to Face Bryson DeChambeau and Aaron Rodgers in “The Match” yesterday. And while the game had a lot of witty banter, Charles Barkley added another anecdote about Tom Brady’s insane work ethic to his already legendary legacy

Aaron Rodgers may have been bested by Tom Brady and the Bucs in the NFC Championship game. But tides turned in the 4th edition of Capital One’s The Match on Tuesday. Rodgers and 2020 U.S. Open winner Bryson DeChambeau defeated Tampa Bay Buccaneers signal-caller Tom Brady and six-time major winner Phil Mickelson.

The event saw a variety of celebrity guests come and make an appearance on the commentary stage along with Charles Barkley, who had another interesting story about Tom Brady.

Charles Barkley spoke about Tom Brady and his work ethic.

Charles Barkley televised the last time Tom Brady was a part of “The Match” as well and told everyone about Brady’s remarkable work ethic.

“He got up Sunday Morning and played 18 holes before the match. And when I got to the course, he was in the parking lot running wind sprints. And I said, ” Tom Brady inspired me to wanna work harder on my golf game”.

“I said, “That’s incredible, man. It inspired me,’” Barkley said. “But you are Tom, I tell people, ‘You’re a pretty man, too.’”

Brady then provided a lifetime lesson.

“I feel like I was such a late bloomer, I would say, in college and in the pros, I feel like I have to outwork the competition, and that’s still how I feel,” Brady said. “I think for all the kids out there, you’ve got to find traits to sustain for a long period of time. … It’s been an amazing career for me to still do what I love to do.”

Brady playing 18 holes of golf before a golf match is the most Brady thing to do. He may have lost the match to Aaron Rodgers, but even then left everyone inspired.
