Aaron Rodgers Injury Update

Rodgers almost certainly will participate in Week 13. Expect Aaron Rodgers to be in charge as long as the Packers have a mathematical chance of making the playoffs.

Following the game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said he didn’t want to speculate on whether Aaron Rodgers would be sidelined for any period of time, including holding off on saying whether he wouldn’t be available for the team’s Week 13 game against the Bears.

Before we even discuss benching Rodgers for the year, LaFleur said, “We’ve got to have more conversation. I anticipate him being out there as long as he is able to go.”

As long as the Packers have a chance to advance to the playoffs, Rodgers said he doesn’t think his injury will end his season. He wouldn’t rule out playing on Sunday of next week and said he would anticipate playing if he passes a medical exam on Monday.

Rodgers declared, “I’d like to be out there as long as we’re mathematically alive.”

Rodgers had completed 11 of 16 passes for 140 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions prior to his injury. His nine interceptions in 12 games are the most in a season since he had 11 in 2010. Rodgers was sacked three times in the game, bringing his season total to 24.
