Novak Djokovic apparently back with former coach Marian Vajda
Novak Djokovic has been pinned to the corner in the last 15 months, finding it tough to make a comeback and find normalcy on the Tennis circuit again.
He has chopped and changed his coaching staff in a bid to regain his confidence and momentum on the ATP circuit, but nothing has quite worked for him.
Andre Agassi had joined him on a rather ‘part time’ basis last year, and then Radek Stepanek too was recruited in a bid to rescue the sinking or maybe the stagnated Djokovic ship, but he recently got rid of both of them as results were not as great as expected.
And while Djokovic prepares for the upcoming clay court season, he as apparently gotten back with his former coach Marian Vajda.
Djokovic has won all his 12 grand slams with Vajda and would be hoping to reignite some of that old fire when the two join forces once again.
An official confirmation is awaited though.
The duo was filmed training together in Marbella.
Djokovic has been hit with some fitness and ‘motivation’ issues ever since his split with Vajda. Hopefully Vajda succeeds in getting that fire in Djokovic’s belly again and also helping him sort out his fitness issues.
However, we’ll have to wait and see if this reunion is a temporary one or if Vajda is joining Djokovic’s coaching team full-time.
Djokovic will resume his tennis season at the Monte Carlo Masters this month after crashing out early at the Miami Open and then going ahead and sacking his entire star studded coaching staff.
