Man Utd team news vs Spurs: The interim Manchester United manager has provided an update on the team for the game.
Manchester United have been impressive under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer so far. The side is yet to concede a draw or a loss in the five games under Norwegian’s charge.
However, the players face a tough test this weekend as they take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side is third in the Premier League and has emerged as heavyweights for the league title this season. Tottenham are only six points behind league leaders, Liverpool, and their in-form attackers Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son could create problems for United’s defence.
As Solskjaer interacted for the pre-match conference for the game against Tottenham at Wembley Stadium, he provided an update on the squad.
Man Utd team news vs Spurs:
Solskjaer confirmed that Paul Pogba would be in contention for the game against Tottenham Hotspur.
The French midfielder didn’t travel with the squad as they took part in the warm-weather training sessions in Dubai, but joined the squad later. Earlier, he stated that he he hoped for his quick recovery.
Solskjaer: “Every single day and every single game will get us closer and we’ll have more understanding of how we want to play. Obviously the last five games haven’t been too bad, but there are always things to work on.” #MUFC

“You get tested in every single game in the Premier League,” Ole says. “But of course Sunday’s game is against a top, top side and if we want to get closer to them we need a good performance and a good result.” #MUFC

“He [Pogba] looked okay towards the end (of the training camp), so he’ll be fit,” Solskjaer said, as quoted by the Manchester United website.
“He did have some problems but he came through the last couple of sessions well, so he should be okay.”
However, Marcos Rojo remains unfit, and Solskjaer revealed that the defender has travelled back to Argentina, and the date of his return remains uncertain.
“He’s gone back to Argentina for a while with his injury,” Solskjaer said. “How long is a piece of rope? For him, it’s mentally important for him to get away and come back fresh again.”
Ole on #MUFC‘s Dubai training camp: “It was very good. We had four good days of training, so I think the boys enjoyed it. We put some principles down and they worked hard — they enjoy working hard.”

Guardiola on Solskjær: “His start is much better than mine, I lost my first game and drew the second [in 2016]. He won all the games. He is a young manager, getting incredible results. I saw a few minutes of games they played and they played good.” #mulive [men]

Manchester United are currently sixth in the Premier League and are three points behind the fifth-placed Arsenal. A win against Tottenham would reduce the gap between both the clubs to seven points.
