Anthony Davis’ trade has been one of the most talked about things in the ongoing NBA season, with the Pelicans not performing up to the mark.

Reports had suggested that Davis had spoken to the Pelicans management early on in the season about asking for a trade if the Pelicans did not perform up to the mark going into the playoff stage.
A 15-17 record for the Pelicans means that they sit 13th on the table in the West and will need to play out of their skins from here on in order to make a surge towards a playoff spot.
Meanwhile, the Davis trade rumours have increased in intensity, with both Lakers and Celtics interested.

LeBron James wants the Lakers to trade for Anthony Davis. At the very least, he wants the conversation about it to start. So let’s have a frank look at it: https://t.co/IkUMjYXn38

LeBron James confirmed the Lakers’ interest a couple of nights ago when he said in an interview that acquiring the services of Anthony Davis next season would be incredible.
“That would be amazing” LeBron had said.
“That would be amazing, like, duh. That would be incredible.” he added.
Davis too responded to LeBron’s suggestions that Davis should come to Lakers with a simple “I don’t care”.
Davis wanted to send out a message that at present he was focussed on his job in North Orleans, especially in these trying times when he isn’t able to take his team through.
Klutch client or not, Anthony Davis would have to be insane to want to go to play with LeBron. James has played with two top scoring, rebounding front court players and turned them into glued-to-the-three-point-line role players (Bosh and Love). AD would be selling himself short.

Pelicans coach, Alvis Gentry has also confirmed that they won’t be trading Davis, come what may.
“We’re not trading him. I can say that to the world. We’re not gonna trade him, no matter what. That’s not an option. It doesn’t matter what anybody says or does. We’re not trading Anthony Davis.” Alvis Gentry said.
Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry was clear tonight on speculation on his star’s future: “We’re not trading him. I can say that to the world. We’re not gonna trade him, no matter what. That’s not an option. It doesn’t matter what anybody says or does. We’re not trading Anthony Davis.”

Celtics and Lakers are extremely interested in securing Davis’ signature, as his trade could determine where the next NBA dynasty would come up.
Lakers have made their interest pretty obvious post the statement from James and it is now time for the Celtics too to come out and be vocal about their desire of trading Davis.
The Pelicans would try everything in their power to stop the trade from going through, as confirmed by coach Gentry but do you think it will be enough?
