MI Predicted Playing XI vs RCB

MI Predicted Playing XI vs RCB: The Sportsrush presents before you MI’s Predicted Playing XI for their second match against RCB.

Three-time IPL winning franchise Mumbai Indians commenced their IPL 2019 journey with a 37-run loss against Delhi Capitals at home. While they have rejoiced the trend of losing the initial matches and then staging a praiseworthy comeback, they wouldn’t be wanting to travel that road again.

Therefore, Indians would be looking to register their first victory of IPL 2019 against Royal Challengers Bangalore, who also lost their first match against Chennai Super Kings.

Because Indians failed to restrict Capitals’ Rishabh Pant at Wankhede Stadium, they would be aware about the potential the likes of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers possess in Bengaluru.

MI Predicted Playing XI vs RCB

Top-order

Indians captain Rohit Sharma choosing to open the batting for his IPL team has it in it to be a masterstroke for them. Arguably the most destructive contemporary opening batsman, Sharma batting in the middle-order made little sense.

While he failed to deliver vs Delhi Capitals, expect him to dictate terms in the matches to come. In wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock and batsman Suryakumar Yadav, Sharma has able batsmen to support him in the top-order.

Middle-order

Veteran batsman Yuvraj Singh scoring his 13th IPL half-century against DC was the highlight of Mumbai’s batting unit the other night. Yuvraj’s form is a case of too early to comment but MI would be hoping for him to keep contributing throughout the tournament.

There is no hiding to the fact that the all-rounder triad of Kieron Pollard and the Pandya Brothers hold they key for MI as far as finishing an innings is concerned. Having the skill to change the game on their own, Pollard, Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya will have to step up their game across divisions.

Bowlers

The sight of fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah getting injured in the last match had sent tremors across the Indian fans. With their leading pacer back to full fitness, Bumrah will play a pivotal role. Moreover, the battle of Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli vs Bumrah will be worth looking forward to.

With veteran fast bowler Lasith Malinga available now, Mumbai have the option of playing him in place of Ben Cutting at the cost of a depleted batting lineup. While Mitchell McClenaghan is all set to retain his place, Mumbai will also be pondering to play leg-spinner Mayank Markande in place of teenage prodigy Rasikh Salam.

When not watching cricket, he is mostly found in a cinema hall watching a Punjabi movie.
