In India, sport is often considered as a commodity for the young, something that only dwindles as a fond memory once a student takes that leap of faith into the corporate world.

Time flies, career flourishes, relationships strengthen but that tiny little sporting memory keeps providing every individual with that sense of achievement like no other.

And so people who have once been exposed to sport, cling onto it for the rest of their life. Because it is that one thing that lets human emotions flow in the purest form, and no pure thing ever dies.

Hudle, a sports network in Delhi aspires to provide these sporting enthusiasts an opportunity to rekindle with their first love – ‘Sport’. And boy have they have been doing a fabulous job!

Hudle has been organizing tournaments across sports ever since January 2016, building a strong community of players in the Delhi-NCR region, and providing them with a platform to showcase their skills in a competitive environment.

But just providing a platform for players to play isn’t quite enough, is it?

Hudle realizes that amateur players like you and me have spent hours watching our sporting idols ply their trade on the television. And not one day has gone by when we haven’t imagined ourselves doing the same, even if it was just at the local level, but we would give the world to just for one day, feel and be like our sporting idols.

We want that larger than life sporting experience, don’t we? We want ball boys, referees, video coverage, pre-match jitters and Hudle realises that. It’s not just about the sport, it’s about the entire experience and Hudle provides us with that and much more.

The SportsRush and Hudle have come together to give sport a fair chance, to help more people embrace it in the best possible way and to create this ‘sporting wave’ in every part of the country.

Watching a sport, reading about it and even ranting about it is fun, but nothing can satiate your sporting lust better than actually getting onto the field and playing the sport that you love. And that is exactly what Hudle wants you to do.

THE TENNIS HUDLE

The 4th edition of the Tennis Hudle- Delhi NCR’s premier amateur tennis tournament is set to be held on the 22nd of October at the RK Khanna Complex and promises to be Hudle’s biggest ever tennis event.

Tennis Hudle venue

More than 100 amateur players, spread across 3 categories (Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles and Men’s doubles) will sweat it out across 10+courts at Delhi’s biggest tennis facility.

Apart from the tournament being a huge ‘Tennis celebration’, it also provides players the opportunity to move up the ‘Hudle Tennis Rankings’, with prizes lined up for players who top their respective categories at the end of the season!

PLAYER INSIGHTS

Charanjit Jassar holds the pole position in Men’s Singles rankings with his consistent performances across the 3 previous editions. But winner of the 3rd edition, Sahil Rikhy (rank #2) will try his best to get to the top by claiming the title in this edition as well!

Punar Bhasin, who won the Men’s Singles (rank #10) and Men’s Doubles (rank #3) title in the 1st edition will be hoping his booming serve can propel him to victory and the top rank in both the categories in the upcoming edition.

Amardeep Singh has been a constant inspiration for all the players with his dedication towards the sport he loves at the age of 51. He has participated in the previous 2 editions of The Tennis Hudle and has always shown us that age is just a number.

Other talented players to look out for in the Men’s Singles title race are Yuvraj Singh, Gagan Gaurav, Aditya Thapliyal, Shashi Singh and Gautam Narula. A promising start in the group stages is all they need to be part of the title race.

Over in men’s doubles, brothers Pranit and Aman Saxena (tied rank #10) have been constantly improving their doubles game with every edition and we expect them to be a force to reckon with on the court.

They will face stiff competition from Satish Ramakrishnan (rank #5), Prasenjit Chakravarti (tied rank #10) and Umang Mital (tied rank #15).

Women’s Singles has been dominated by Vedika Gupta. It remains to be seen if we have competition for her this time around!

In each category there will also be new entrants hoping to make their mark.

So, what are you waiting for? Dust off the rustiness, pull out your racquets, put on your shoes and get ready for a splendid day of competitive tennis at the RK Khanna Tennis Complex.
