Kick

Launched in early 2023, the popular streaming platform Kick has once again landed in troubled waters. Now and then, the TrainwrecksTV-backed platform somehow tangles in controversies, mostly because of its relaxed gambling guidelines. Therefore, recently, a popular Twitch streamer, Ricegum, opened up about Kick’s gambling-centric contract.

For those unfamiliar with Kick‘s guidelines, that also makes the platform a tough competitor to its rivals like Twitch, Rumble, YouTube, etc. It offers a whopping 95% of the subscription amount to its creators, while the remaining 5% goes to the platform. Moreover, the absence of any hard-core restrictions on the content’s nature allows streamers to get more creative, giving them a sense of freedom.

It’s these guidelines that also act as the Kick’s USP (Unique Selling Point); however, sometimes these also backfire. Besides TrainwrecksTV, the crypto-gambling site Stake has also funded Kick, which is another reason for the platform’s association with gambling. Hence, wasting no further time, let’s check out what exactly Ricegum revealed about the Kick’s contract.

Ricegum says Kick wanted him to Gamble

Bryan Quang Le, popularly known as Ricegum among the streaming community, reportedly said that Kick wanted him to be more inclined to gamble. The 26-year-old further stated why the contact asked him to stream more gambling than any other content. He said doing so would eventually attract maximum earnings. You can watch the entire clip here, showcasing Bryan speaking up about his Kick and Rumble contract.

Here’s exactly what Ricegum mentioned about the Stake funded platform, “I could stream, but in order to make the most possible on Kick, they wanted me to gamble like 30 days or something, I don’t know.” Later on in his stream, the American streamer also made a slight comparison between Kick and its rival streaming platform, Rumble. He expressed that while Kick asked him to stay more focused on gambling, Rumble just wanted content regardless of its nature.

Why should the fans take Ricegum’s words with a grain of salt?

Though Kick is notorious for its gambling-related allegations, that doesn’t necessarily mean Ricegum’s remarks are true. In fact, there’s no proof of any kind justifying Bryan’s statement regarding Kick’s contract. Hence, it’s advisable to take it all with a grain of salt unless Kick breaks its silence or Ricegum actually shows us his contract. Until then, check out this popular Twitch streamer who unfortunately got assaulted in Madrid.
