England and New Zealand tied the match in their 50 overs. Both the teams scored 241 runs each. The game was then taken to the super over which also ended up with scores leveled as England and New Zealand fetched 15 runs each from their 6 balls. However, the boundary count tie-breaker came into effect and England were handed Cricket’s top prize.
This is not the first time that Triple H has sent out a custom championship belt to a champion in the sport of cricket. Back in 2017, Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma also received one after they won the Indian Premier League that year.
