Chad Mendes reveals why chose to retire To Joe Rogan

Mendes faced a dilemma when he had his first child and ran a business. He found it challenging to focus on his UFC fighting career and prioritized his other business. However, he knew that combat sports demand complete focus, and dividing his attention would cost him.

After discussing the matter with his wife, he chose to take a break from fighting and concentrate on his family and business.

He said, “I decided to retire, talked it over with my wife and that was you know what the game plan was.

Despite his success in the Octagon, Mendes understood the significance of making the right choices outside of the cage. He realized that his fighting career was finite and didn’t want to miss out on other essential aspects of life.

Taking a break from fighting enabled him to recharge and return stronger. His decision to prioritize his family and business proved to be a wise one.
