Is The UFC Distancing Itself From Donald Trump?

Donald Trump is receiving flak from every corner, and in the meanwhile, there are speculations that UFC has also turned its back on the outgoing president.

For those who don’t know, at the time when UFC was still picking up the pace and used to struggle to find a place for the fights to proceed, it was Donald Trump, who came to the promotion’s aid and played a vital role in its smooth functioning. The show of support was the start of his friendship with UFC president Dana White. And over the years the two presidents have often paid regard to each other.

While for almost two decades the relationship between UFC and Donald Trump has stood firm but, on account of the recent turn of events in the US capitol, there are speculations that UFC is dissociating itself from the controversial figure.

Is The UFC Distancing Itself From Donald Trump?

Donald Trump has been under fire lately. Adding on to the fact that Donald Trump has not conceded his loss in the recently culminated US elections, the 45th president of the USA allegedly encouraged the ruckus, which led to some outrageous scenes in Washington, D.C.

As a consequence of apparently mongering violence, the avid Twitter user, Trump has been banished from all the major social media platforms.

While this was an expected happening but, which can be termed as an action of a similar sort and went under the radar, emanated from UFC.

In 2018, when UFC celebrated its 25th anniversary, a spree of documentaries was released by the promotion to pay respect to some key personalities that contributed to the success of the MMA brand. Among all the documentaries, one was by the name of “Combatant in chief,” and its protagonist was none other than Donald Trump.

Now, until recently the documentary was achieved on the official UFC website but, according to an update, it is not there anymore.

Though there is no solid evidence that UFC intentionally took out the fact-based clip, however, conjectures can be drawn. And if it is indeed the case then it could be concluded that there is a stain in the relation.
