Robert Whittaker, Picks Three Fighters For His Next Fight

At UFC Fight Island 3, Robert Whittaker got the better of Darren Till via. a unanimous decision. The fighter has now picked three prospects for his next fight.

Robert Whittaker, after his win over Darren Till, has again become the person of Interest. The middle weight lost the title to Israel Adesanya at UFC 243 (October, 2019), and now with this victory again wants to enter in the title frame.

On Wednesday, the 29-year-old spoke to Ariel Helwani, on his MMA show, and expressed intentions to fight again this year. The fighter wishes to face one among, Jack Hermansson, Israel Adesanya, and Paulo Costa. He picked these three fighters, but did not named Jared Cannonier, who is also a No.1 contender prospect.

Here’s What Robert Whittaker Precisely Said

Here’s what Whittaker said, “All I do know for sure is ‘I want to get in another fight before the end of the year’s out, hopefully November, December. I am in the fight game, I’ll fight, I’ll fight Hermansson, I’ll fight Adesanya, or I’ll fight or I’ll fight Costa. Like I’m….happy, for either, or either one of those guys. Those are the three guys I want to face, that’ll be good.”

Whittaker further added, “I feel that, I’m championship level, I’m championship quality, but I am, you know the designs UFC have”. Whittaker is open to a non-title fight as well.

On being asked whether he would root for Costa over Adesanya, as It would open the window for an immediate title shot for him, to which Whittaker replied, “Neither one of those guys are my friends. I don’t really care”. However, about the fight, he later did conveyed, Adesanya on paper looks better.”
