Many MMA athletes found enormous success in the world’s largest MMA promotion, UFC. However, just a few people maintain it when they leave the promotion. Among them are Conor McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Nate Diaz, and Jorge Masvidal. These athletes didn’t let their fame go to waste, instead utilizing it in other areas such as sponsorship, other businesses, and even founding their own MMA organization.

Nurmagomedov, the former UFC lightweight champion, founded ‘Eagle FC,’ while Nate Diaz currently owns Real Fight Inc. Former BMF champion Jorge Masvidal took a similar path and started ‘Gamebred FC,’ a promotion that hosts Bareknuckle MMA events.

In the United States, Gamebred FC hosted a number of successful events. It has also signed several well-known athletes. Interestingly, Masvidal appears to have reached another milestone with his organization.

Jorge Masvidal received a $100 million investment for Gamebred FC

Jorge Masvidal is one of the biggest superstars in MMA. From street fighting in his early days to the grand UFC stage, Masvidal came a long way. ‘Gamebred’ attracted many fans throughout his journey.

Even the former President of the United States, Donald Trump, who is often seen during major UFC events, has praised Masvidal several times. Sadly, Masvidal called it a career after UFC 287 in April 2023.

But, interestingly, the Miami native is focused on growing his MMA promotion. On Cinco De Mayo, he held the state’s first-ever sanctioned event at FLA Live Arena. Furthermore, the promotion featured well-known stars such as Roy Jones Jr. and Jose Aldo.

To add to its glory now, according to reports by River City Post, Gamebred FC has received a $100 million investment. However, the names of the investors have not yet been released. Nonetheless, it is certain that Masvidal will put on some fantastic events for his fans now that he has received this financial boost.

Masvidal’s last fight in UFC

‘The King of Miami’ last fought against Gilbert Burns in the co-main event of UFC 287 in Miami, Florida. The welterweights fought for a full three rounds. But Masvidal couldn’t beat the Brazilian fighter.

Ultimately, ‘Durinho’ got a nod from the judges. He bagged the win with a unanimous decision. Meanwhile, it was a fourth straight loss for ‘Gamebred’ in his colorful MMA career.

Masvidal believed the moment had come to leave the UFC. He hung up his gloves after the battle in front of his family in his hometown. He left with a 35-17 professional MMA record behind him. Although Masvidal was never a UFC champion, fans will remember him for his amazing knockout victories.

What are your thoughts on Masvidal’s career? What do you guys think about the investment he received?
