UFC 288 is a fight card that’s built around the bantamweights. Henry Cejudo returns inside the octagon after a long layoff to face the champion Aljamain Sterling for the 135-pound title.

UFC 288: Main card

As Henry Cejudo returns with all the cringe he has got, the matchup is not an easy one. He will face Sterling, who is the reigning and defending champion at 135 pounds. The Funk master defeated TJ Dillashaw at UFC 280 to retain his title.

Henry Cejudo, the triple c however, has had a long layoff. If ring rust is a factor, we will see that in the fight. Cejudo is, however, not an easy matchup for anyone. The guy knows how to win the fight and has had both the bantamweight and the flyweight belts in the past.

Main Card:

  • Aljamain Sterling vs Henry Cejudo
  • Jessica Andrade vs Yan Xiaonan
  • Drew Dober vs Matt Frevola
  • Movsar Evloev vs Bryce Mitchell
  • Kron Gracie vs Charles Jourdain

Charles Olivera and Beneil Dariush were supposed to be on this main card, but the fight got cancelled. Charles Olivera got injured during wrestling practice and had to back out of the fight. As unfortunate as it is, we move on with the card.

Jessica Andrade will face Yan Xiaonan in the women’s strawweight division. Andrade is scary and strong and a bad match up for anyone. Drew Dober after his recent win against Bobby Green makes a comeback. He will face Matt Frevola.

Movsar Evloev and Bryce Mitchell will throw leather at each other in the 145-pound division. It’s the return of Kron Gracie inside the octagon, and we might see Nate Diaz in the corner.

Kron Gracie’s last fight was against Cub Swanson back in 2019. His record is 5 wins and 1 loss, and he makes a comeback against Charles Jourdain.
