Yoel Romero is Out From The August 22 Event Following a Possible Injury
Just a week after the fixture was announced between Yoel Romero and Uriah Hill for August 22, the match is now off, following Romero’s withdrawal.
On Tuesday, August 11, Yoel Romero’s name got omitted from the event, because of the reasons undisclosed. However, an injury might be a possible reason. The official announcement regarding Romero’s withdrawal is yet to be made, and this is just a result of the initial reports. (Source)
It was a huge match-up, one that is cancelled or delayed for a later date now. The encounter was the co-main event, and would have generated steam, since Romero, Ranked 5 would have entered with a three-match losing streak, where all the losses have come from the triad of Middleweight division, against Hill who has a winning momentum on his side.
