Watch: A streaker runs on to the field to interrupt Newzealand Vs England clash

Watch: A streaker running on to the field to interrupt New Zealand Vs England clash at the Cricket World Cup as players watch him helplessly.

A streaker runs on to the field while only wearing a green hat, and interrupts a crucial tie between England and Newzealand in the ICC cricket World Cup.

Meanwhile, spectators and players watched on in bemusement as the streaker played to the galleries, with New Zealand batsmen Tom Latham and Mitchell Santner trying to plan about what they must do next in order to chase down the target.

The security staff were slow to act, as the unidentified streaker ran towards the wicket, and danced in front of the Kiwis’ duo, as they were chasing a difficult target of 306, when Newzealand was 6 wickets down at 145.

Then, the streaker weaved around the security, as they kept on chasing him and soon brought him down. Meanwhile, with a cheer of enthusiasm the streaker escaped the hold of the security for briefly, and ran back towards the pitch. He was stopped for a second time and led away.

Later, the game was resumed at the same score, and eventually Newzealand lost third match in a row at this World Cup, but still managed to gain a qualification in the semi-finals of the tournament.

Although, Newzealand are only two points ahead of the 5th placed Pakistan with the last game remaining but due to a highly superior net run rate, Pakistan have no realistic chances to qualify.

On the other hand, England reached to the semi-finals of a cricket World Cup after a long wait of 27 years, after a successful run of form in past few games.

The semi-final round will begin on coming Tuesday and Wednesday, with India, Australian, England and Newzealand likely to qualify.
