WATCH: Lionel Messi dribbles while lying on the ground against Sporting Lisbon
While it was not very pretty, Barcelona got the job done against Sporting Lisbon, as a Coates own goal meant that Barcelona maintained their perfect record in the Champions League this season.
Dembele’s injury has posed some problems for Valverde, as he is still kind of struggling to find the perfect combination for Barcelona, and while Messi’s brilliance has been overshadowing all of that, things will need to be sorted with respect to the correct formation and combination.
And Messi was at it tonight as well, juggling, dribbling and scooping the ball while he was lying on the ground.
Even by Messi’s standards this was something that was completely out of the world and made everyone take notice.

Messi somehow lost his footing while attempting a dribble and fell to the ground but still managed to somehow scoop it up in the air, get back to his feat and still complete a pass.
While Barcelona wouldn’t be satisfied with their performance, they would take heart from the fact that they managed to scrape through despite not playing their best football.
