The problem with bringing outsiders into the WWE for a match is that the guests are often portrayed as being the good guys and almost always pick up the win making the wrestler, who is supposed to be a professional, look stupid.

The WWE went against the norms with Pat McAfee, they turned him into a despicable heel after he ran his mouth on Cole after supposedly patching things up. He then punted the former NXT Champion before accepting Triple H’s invite for a match on Cole’s behalf at TakeOver XXX.

He even took the loss against the man marked to be WWE’s next breakout star. Before that however, he showed he belonged with his performance inside the ring.

His standout moment in the match came when he Cole shoved him from the top rope and he landed on his feet, He then immediately leaped back up for a superplex.

The match eventually ended after McAfee leapt into a superkick from Cole. Cole then finished his opponent with a Panama City Sunrise.

McAfee’s arc in the WWE may have come to an end with the 3-count. However, in doing so, he has opened a whole new one for Adam Cole.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
