Drew Mcintyre Vs. Randy Orton: Match Summary

Randy Orton started with a wary attitude, and the match started off slowly. Orton who was retreating initially get back into the ring and made a couple of RKO attempts to make Mcintyre exit. Soon the duo indulged in a duel, which was rightly put into words by commentator Samoa Joe, when he said “Both Men Are Flirting With Disaster”. The action for a brief period was shifted outside the ring, where Orton did made his usual move with the commentary table. The legend killer was in control of the match, and at one point found Mcintyre in a perfect position to inflict a punt kick, which he initiated as well but Mcintyre got up and turned it into a powerbomb.

In the match we also saw, Orton’s head busting open, Mcintyre locking Orton with a figure four. In the end when the 13-time WWE champion was down, the Scot took notice and measured his opponent for a Claymore kick, however Orton saw it coming and made another unsuccessful attempt at RKO, as Drew Mcintyre countered the RKO with a backslide pinfall attempt, and held his grip for all three precious seconds.

So much was speculated about the match, about how it will proceed, and how it will end, but nothing of sorts took place at Summerslam.
