After Receiving Financial Aid From $800,000,000 Man Dwayne Johnson, UFC Star Reveals Big Plan With ‘The Rock’: “We Are Arranging a…”

Dwayne Johnson aims to be the hardest worker in the room. And he does things with a smile. After spending years entertaining the fans in WWE, Johnson worked his magic in Hollywood. The Hollywood icon is unmistakably one of the most successful actors in the world. Johnson goes above and beyond to get in the shoes of the character he plays on the silver screen. That said, Dwayne Johnson once wore a fake beard made out of a Yak’s testicles on his face for the role of Hercules.

Despite having genetics resembling that of a Greek God’s, The Rock has a very likable face. The Great One maintains a clean-shaven look in real-life.

However, to meet the requirements of the script of Hercules, Johnson wore a fake rugged-looking beard derived from the “rocks” of a Yak. Brett Ratner went the extra mile to have Dwayne Johnson look like the divine hero, Hercules.

Dwayne Johnson reveals he wore a fake beard made out of a Yak’s testicles for Hercules

During an interview with Conan O’Brien on TBS, Dwayne Johnson revealed how long-drawn the styling process was for his movie. According to Johnson, the make-up sessions lasted over three hours every day. On being asked about the hair, The Rock pointed out the obvious that it was a wig.

However, the host guffawed when Johnson revealed he wore a fake beard made from a yak’s testicles.

He explained that a well-renowned team of designers dedicatedly worked to put together the look for Johnson as Hercules. Johnson added that the beard had to be painstakingly placed on his face “piece by piece”. The Red Notice actor also recalled when his Italian designer, Matteo, imparted to him about where the hair came from.

“The beard hair… had to be put on, strips cut, inch high, quarter inch wide, piece by piece. I asked my Italian designer, I said, ‘Matteo, what is this?’ He goes, ‘Oh, it’s the hair from a yak’. It’s very expensive, very fine hair… He was putting it on my face and I go, ‘Well, what part (of the yak)?’ and he goes, ‘The balls!’”

Well, Johnson clearly liked the beard because of its softness on the skin. Yak hair or not, Dwayne Johnson irrefutably looked like a demi-God.

Dwayne Johnson may regret turning down a role in a blockbuster film for Hercules

Dwayne Johnson may be a very successful actor, but he once made the blunder of rejecting an offer from the Transformers film franchise. It’s well known that the Transformers film series is the 14th-highest-grossing film franchise. In 2013, Johnson was rumored to be cast in the film Transformers: Age of Extinction.

On Twitter, a fan asked Dwayne Johnson if the rumors were true. Johnson replied stating that he was offered the role, however, he was unavailable due to being committed to Hercules. He also revealed that the role then went to Mark Wahlberg.

Looking back, Johnson may regret his decision, as Hercules made over four times less than Transformers: Age of Extinction. With a budget of $210 million, Transformers: Age of Extinction grossed a whopping $1.104 billion worldwide. On the other hand, Hercules did ok at the box office, grossing $244 million.
