Huge Setback For The Rock Fans As DC Studios Calls Off The Black Adam Sequel
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been a bankable name in Hollywood for around two decades. With several hit movies under his belt, the WWE wrestler-turned-actor is one of the biggest actors in the world. However, The Great One’s recent superhero movie Black Adam failed to perform at the box office. With a lifetime collection of just $389 Million, The Rock’s DCEU debut is being considered an underperformer. Moreover, there were accusations that he leaked fake stats to make his movie look profitable. If that’s not enough, The Rock recently made a shocking announcement regarding the sequel of his Black Adam movie.
Dwayne Johnson officially signed on for the role in 2014 and since then, he had been working hard to make it work. In fact, the megastar had claimed Black Adam will change the hierarchy of the entire DCEU. However, despite all the efforts he had put in, the movie failed to bring enough audience to the theatres. Now there are some unfortunate updates regarding the second part of the movie.
The Rock recently announced there will be no sequel to Black Adam movie
Recently, The Rock took to Twitter and shared some latest updates regarding the future of his Black Adam character in DCEU. However, the news Rock provided was not something that fans could have imagined.
In a very lengthy post, The Rock revealed there will be no sequel to his Black Adam movie. The Great One stated he and James Gunn recently had a chat about his character’s future in DCEU’s rebooted first chapter. Sadly, Black Adam won’t be a part of that.
However, the good part is that DC and The Rock’s production house Seven Bucks will be looking for ways to use his character. Although there will be no Black Adam sequel, fans can expect him to appear in future DC multiverse chapters. The Rock also acknowledged the love and support fans showed for his first-ever superhero movie.

Despite all the bad news, there is still hope for the character to make a future appearance in the DCEU. Though for now, fans will not see The Rock making a Black Adam sequel.
The Great One is rumored to enter Royal Rumble 2023 at number 30 and win it
WrestleMania is going to Hollywood next year and The Rock is reported to make an appearance there. In fact, he is the one who is rumored to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Title. A couple of weeks ago, Dave Meltzer claimed that The Rock might enter next month’s Royal Rumble at no. 30 and then win it.
Although that’s not a sure thing, Meltzer did assert that WWE had thought of this scenario. He could enter at no. 30, win it, and set his match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.
Nevertheless, all of these are just conjectures until something concrete is announced. Meltzer recently also asserted as of now, nothing is confirmed. With all there conflicting reports, his WrestleMania 39 status is still kind of blurry. However, if The Rock is to make a WWE return, this could be the best time.
