Bayley opens up on being left out of Wrestlemania 37

Bayley opens up on being left out of Wrestlemania 37. The Role Model carried the Women’s division for much of the early part of the pandemic.

The onset of the pandemic last year affected WWE TV last year. It was hard to book shows without an audience. The lack of crowd hurt the product a lot. However, Bayley rose her game during the difficult period and became one of the most entertaining acts last year.

Despite all her hardwork however, she was not book at Wrestlemania this year. Sasha Banks was the only member of the four horsewomen booked at the pay per view, main eventing night 1. While Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch had reasons to not be at the event, Bayley missed out despite being available.

During her interview with SportsIllustrated Bayley revealed that she had taken notice of the snub and it did hurt her. She noted that she was the last to arrive on the main roster and could very well be the last to main event a Wrestlemania.

“I could feel it from the very beginning. The fans were ready to see Sasha finally live out her dream, and they were ready to see Bianca deliver. Within the first minute, I knew it was magical.”

“That’s the pinnacle, what you work your whole life for, I worked that whole year during the pandemic to get to WrestleMania in front of fans, and then I still didn’t have that. I didn’t have that moment, I didn’t have that match so that only makes my desire stronger.

“I was the last one to come to Raw and SmackDown between the Four Horsewomen, and I can be the last one to main-event a WrestleMania.”

Bayley is scheduled to take on Bianca Belair tomorrow for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Wrestlemania Backlash.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
