Jim Ross names WWE star best Wrestler in the world, Fans pick AEW Star. The legendary commentator responded to the fans choice.

Who is the best wrestler in the world? This is a very subjective question and the answer, well, depends on who you’re asking. For instance, if you ask Jim Ross, who the best wrestler in the world today is, he will pick WWE Superstar Randy Orton.

Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast last month, JR said:

“Randy is at the top of his game right now. There’s nobody in WWE or anywhere else that’s better than Randy Orton in my view. I know he’s controversial in real life but there’s some magic surrounding that.”

Fans have since made it known that they believe that they think AEW Champion Kenny Omega deserves that title. JR didn’t budge and reiterated that he still thinks it’s Orton. However, he acknowledged that there was no right answer to this question and the fact that there are multiple candidates to this question means that this is a great time to be a fan.

“I don’t think anybody is any better than Randy Orton in the wrestling business. If he’s not, of course it’s subjective and only my opinion, there’s a lot of good ones out there right now.

“I love Randy’s work, although I don’t watch it regularly enough to make a great evaluation, in the last several months that I have tuned in to watch some of Randy’s segments, he doesn’t disappoint. No matter how the creative is packaged to him, he doesn’t disappoint.

“I’m sure there’s Kenny Omega fans out there that would say Omega is the best wrestler in the world. Some will, and they got the right to their opinion and I’m not going to argue it. Omega is really frickin’ good. In any event, it’s a good time to be a fan. A lot of great talent out there, improving their game, adapting and adding things.”
