Big E opens up on his chances to headline WrestleMania. The current Intercontinental champion is a fan-favorite prospect to get a push against Roman Reigns.
WWE is an entity that has a household reach and over the long haul has produced superstars who have given a pragmatic approach to the company’s tagline-Then, Now, Forever. However, in its vision to woo its audience and showcasing the E in WWE, the company’s policies and the authorities’ handling of its human resource often receive flak.
While the media, the fans, and more often than not the wrestling brand’s former associates have criticized the organization for some unjust suffered but, this time one of the current roster’s premier names and moreover the holder of the Intercontinental gold, Big E has put forth an assertion which sheds light on what it takes for the decision-makers to pay heed to the company’s long-term personnel.
Big E, who performs on the SmackDown brand, recently defeated Sami Zayn to become the new Intercontinental champion. The ongoing stint is only his second solo run ever since 2014 when he got promoted from NXT.
Over the years Big E has grown in stature and subsequently now many see him as the leading prospect to headline this year’s WrestleMania against the current universal champion Roman Reigns. However, in a brief chat with Busted Open Podcast’s hosts, Big E implied headlining Wrestlemania is a far-fetched reality.

The former member of the New Day makes it known that he would never say no to an opportunity like that but at the same time, he is of the opinion that the company fancies part-timers over the ones who have actually been grinding for that spot.
“you know in the same vein. I’m not here to turn down any opportunity that comes my way either. But you also know how it is man. They’re going to go through a list of part-timers. The big names the big money guys who work once a year. And they’re gonna go through that list. And if they can’t get all those guys booked for that Roman spot for WrestleMania, then it’s kind of like now, who do we look to that works here on a weekly basis. Who’s actually been grinding?. And now maybe we give them an opportunity.”
It should be noted that last year there were speculations about the two going up against each other at the very event, but it turns out there were no plans by the WWE towards this matchup and hence Reigns Vs. Big E never materialized.
However, this time situation is different and moreover, Roman Reigns is yet to get paired for this year’s Mania, so there is a probability that Big E might very well make his way to the squared circle of the biggest Pay-Per-View of the year.
