Triple Threat match for NXT North American Championship at ‘TakeOver WarGames’ announced
Kevin Owens was on the show tonight to fill in for Wade Barrett, who is absent tonight. They decided to get the most out of the former Universal Champion’s presence by giving him his own segment and boy was he on fire today making it perhaps the most enjoyable Kevin Owens Show to date!

KO encouraged Ruff to show confidence because the locker room could sniff out doubt. In doing so, Ruff mentioned Gargano’s name. KO joked that this meant Gargano would now walk out and that is exactly what happened.

Gargano came out and compared the show to Punk’d because of its ridiculousness, KO called him out over the out of date reference before hilariously predicting Priest’s entrance as well.
“Is this a prank show? Is @aplusk going to pop out of one of these pods?” – @JohnnyGargano
“Very timely reference.” – @FightOwensFight

Priest reminded Ruff that last week he said he’d defend his title against both him and Gargano, to which KO said that he wished NXT had someone like Teddy Long, who could walk out at any point and make this match.
He then anticipated William Regal’s entrance who hilariously booked the match before ending it with Teddy Long’s famous catchphrase ‘Playa’.
NOW HOLD ON A MINUTE, PLAYA!#WWENXT GM @RealKingRegal just made a match on the #KOShow!

The match was about as obvious as water is wet but Kevin Owens helped make the journey there much more entertaining.
