The current longest-reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was last seen defending his titles at Crown Jewels in a match against Logan Paul. With the Bloodline on his side, it appears as if nobody can dethrone the Tribal Chief. Roman Reigns is currently healing from a ruptured eardrum he suffered at the hand of Kevin Owens at Survivor Series WarGames when Owens pulled an unplanned spot. Although it’s not confirmed, Reigns is likely to face Owens at the upcoming Royal Rumble PLE.
The Head of the Table is expected to make it to WrestleMania 39 as still Champion. Speculations about The Rock returning to WrestleMania to face Roman Reigns for the coveted combined titles have been making the rounds on the internet for months. Now it seems that WWE might make a slight change of plans.
Roman Reigns is expected to wrestle on both nights of WrestleMania 39
WrestleMania 39 will be a two nights affair again for the fourth time. A new report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter states that WWE may be looking to get Roman Reigns to wrestle on both nights of the event.
According to the report, Roman will defend one of his titles on Saturday and the other on Sunday. Dave Meltzer speculated Cody Rhodes and The Rock as the two potential opponents for Reigns.

“One of the things talked about internally in WWE is for Reigns to wrestle both nights at Mania, with the working ideas being Cody Rhodes and Dwayne Johnson. Nothing is definite and actually today the best bet is that it won’t take place like that. There is also talk of splitting up the titles so Raw has a world champion after Mania.” Meltzer wrote.
As Meltzer pointed out, it is all speculation until WWE announces the matches officially. WrestleMania is four months away and plans for Roman Reigns are contingent.
Will Cody Rhodes win the Royal Rumble match?
Cody Rhodes’s return to wrestling was groundbreaking earlier this year. His return to WrestleMania 38 after six long years broke the internet.
Rhodes hasn’t been seen since his last match against Seth Rollins. They fought at Hell in a Cell back in June. The American Nightmare suffered a torn right pectoral muscle while training for the match. Rhodes still showed up for the main event regardless and emerged victorious in his match.

A lot of time has passed since then and Rhodes is reportedly stronger than ever. This has led to the speculation that The American Nightmare may be pushed by WWE to face Roman Reigns for one of the Championships at Mania.
Although it’s not carved in stone, Rhodes is expected to win the Rumble and challenge Roman Reigns at the grandest stage.
