WWE return

Since the new regime took over, WWE has witnessed a big change in its women’s division. From released superstars returning to women headlining the weekly shows, it appears Triple-H has given the division a new life. Though there are still a few major female superstars who are still missing. One of them is Sasha Banks, who is still laying low since her May walkout. However, the WWE return in the recent news is not about The Boss.

Another horsewoman who has been absent from WWE for the most part of this year is Charlotte Flair. The 13-time women’s champion last wrestled at WrestleMania Backlash, where she lost her SmackDown Champion to Ronda Rousey. Well, if Wrestling Observer’s recent report is believed to be true, she might be making a comeback soon.

WWE Creative in the process of making plans for the return of Charlotte Flair

This year’s WrestleMania Backlash saw The Queen defending her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey in an “I Quit Match”. In a very hard-hitting match, Charlotte lost her title and has been lying low ever since. Onscreen, WWE showed that The Queen injured her arm during the match.

Now, in the recent edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez gave some new insights about her comeback plans. The report asserted WWE creative is putting its plans into action for the return of Charlotte Flair.

“The creative team is preparing plans for Charlotte Flair’s return to the scene…” the report claimed.

However, whether she will resume her rivalry with Rousey or enter the women’s royal rumble, is yet to be seen. They discussed plans for Charlotte feuding with Damage CTRL’s Bayley on her comeback.

“I think her [Bayley’s] next angle, her next opponent, going forward, will be Charlotte Flair.”

Regardless, they both seemed sure that WWE is ready to bring back The Queen.

The Queen married AEW’s Andrade El Idolo in her time away from the ring

Well, there’s a reason behind the six-month absence of The Queen from the squared circle. Charlotte Flair and Andrade started dating in 2019 when both were in WWE and then on January 1, 2020, they got engaged. After her WrestleMania Backlash match, she took time off to get married. The power couple finally walked down the aisle on 27 May earlier this year.

Nevertheless, the wait is over as WWE creative is working to bring back the 13-time women’s champion. Be it on a weekly show or at Royal Rumble next month, fans can expect to see The Queen in action soon.
