Roman Reigns WrestleMania 39

Gone are those days when Roman Reigns was booed by WWE fans no matter what he did in the ring. Since his 2020 return with a heel turn, The Tribal Chief has turned everything he touched into gold. He hasn’t been pinned since 2019 and has not lost his championship for more than 820 days. And to put a cherry on the cake, Roman Reigns has now topped the list of most-searched active wrestlers of 2022.

Earlier this year in May, InsideSport posted an article where The Head of the Table was named as the most searched Wrestling Personality. According to that report, the Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns was topping the Google Trends Page back then. Cut to six months later, he is still on top.

Wrestlenomics says Roman Reigns is the most-searched active wrestler of 2022

It won’t be wrong to say that heel turn has fared very well for the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Not only has he become a top superstar in WWE, but he has outdone others in almost every list.

Wrestlenomics recently took to Twitter and posted a list of the most-searched active wrestlers of this year. The Tribal Chief was on top of this one as well. According to the Google Trends report from January to November 2022, Roman Reigns is the most-searched active wrestler of 2022.

Second on the list was none other than The Baddest Woman on the Planet. While Ronda Rousey was ranked no. 2, “The Viper” Randy Orton was the third-most searched active wrestler this year. Here’s the full list:

Well, despite leading everything, everywhere at once, fans have some issues with The Tribal Chief.

The Bloodline Leader hasn’t appeared on any weekly show since Survivor Series WarGames

Earlier this year, Roman Reigns signed a new WWE contract that allows him to work in the ring on a lighter schedule. While the deal has fared well for The Tribal Chief, WWE fans aren’t happy and have made him subject to the same criticism that Brock Lesnar got as a part-time champion. However, whenever he wrestles, it’s always worth the wait.

At WWE’s recent Saudi show, Reigns delivered a five-star match against YouTube Sensation Logan Paul. To add to that, The Tribal Chief, alongside his Bloodline, gave an exceptional performance at Survivor Series WarGames.

It is also being reported that Roman Reigns will go one-on-one with The Rock next year at WrestleMania. In fact, recent reports claim WWE is now pondering how to get to that dream match. However, if all goes well, the next Showcase of Immortals will bring one of the biggest matches in WWE history.
