‘LeBron James and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar are spreading hate in the name of BLM’: Jason Whitlock attacks Lakers legends for double standards
Former Fox News presenter Jason Whitlock has accused Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and LeBron James of double standards.
Kareem had written:
“The irresponsibility of tweeting irrational and harmful opinions to millions, regardless of the damaging consequences to their country or people’s lives, proves that those stars deserve harsh backlash.”
Another banger from the great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
“Many Americans imbue stars with political and social intelligence they just don’t have. Great success in one field can lead to the delusion that all your thoughts are great.”

Essentially, Kareem was saying that people who haven’t studied politics should not be commenting on political issues, which is quite a dicey stance to have.
LeBron James, for instance, is just a high school graduate. He has a great mind for sports, but does that truly translate to nuance in political opinion? By Kareem’s logic, LeBron James championing the Black Lives Matter cause, promoting ‘More than a Vote’ are stuff he shouldn’t be doing.
Jason Whitlock puts Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and LeBron James on blast
Through his closing statements, the Lakers legend had unwittingly given his approval to Laura Ingraham. Over 2 years ago, she’d asked LeBron James, among other NBA players, to ‘shut up and dribble’.
Whitlock presented a nuanced criticism of Kareem’s article step by step. Among the stats he mentioned was this one: 220 black men were killed in police shootings in comparison to 420 white people this year. This is in line with averages over the past decade.

Whitlock also argues that the fallout of the Black Lives Matter has included too much violence. He says that above all, democratic process in America took a major hit. He accuses LeBron James and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar of striving to censor the opinions of those who think differently.
But one place where the Outkick writer missed a beat was when he claimed that there has been no violence in ‘Stop the Steal’. There have been reports of shootings and deaths related to those protests.
