Is Kyrie Irving playing tonight vs Bucks? Brooklyn Nets release injury list ahead of game against Giannis Antetokounmpo and co
Kyrie Irving is yet to make his return to play. His availability for tonight’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks is up in the air.
It has been nearly two weeks since Kyrie Irving has suited up for the Brooklyn Nets. The last time Kyrie was seen in a Nets uniform was in their blowout victory over the Utah Jazz. His reasoning for not showing up to games has been cited as ‘personal reasons’.
These personal reasons haven’t been elaborated on by Kyrie Irving or his team. It is assumed that the civil unrest in relation to racially charged events occurring throughout the US is the motive behind his absence.
While Kyrie Irving has been missing in action, the Brooklyn Nets have already rolled out their newest recruit in 2018 MVP James Harden. The Nets beat the Magic two nights ago off the back of a 42 point night from Kevin Durant and a 30 point triple double from Harden.
Will Kyrie Irving be available tonight for the Nets?
Irving’s return was delayed due to a video surfacing of him partying with his sister, without a mask on. This was deemed as a violation of the league’s COVID protocols and was sent into a 5 day quarantine.
He has successfully tested negative for COVID and is reportedly ruled as questionable for tonight’s bout against the Milwaukee Bucks.

When asked about rolling out their new trio of superstars together, head coach Steve Nash said, “Throwing Kyrie in the mix makes us better. It’s a good problem to have, trying to figure out where they can co-exist to their highest level. It takes time.”
Kyrie Irving has let it be known that he is extremely passionate about social problems that propagate throughout the country. So it would make sense that the 6x All-Star would make his return on MLK Day; a day that honours freedom for all, irrespective of race, creed, and/or religion.
