“It takes more edge being in WWE than it does doing the UFC” – Former WWE Champion says WWE is more physical than UFC
Former WWE Champion says the WWE is tougher and more physical than the UFC. He also said it takes more edge to be in WWE than UFC.
The WWE and UFC are two very different entities. The UFC involves mixed martial artists taking on each other with an intent to hurt the other in order to pick a win. The WWE on the other hand, is all about putting on a show. You have to convince your audience that you’re looking for blood while trying your best not to hurt your opponent.

Both shows have their own appeal and required skillsets. Due to its scripted nature however, several fans see the UFC as the harder of the two. WWE superstar Sheamus disagrees though. He is of the opinion that the WWE has a much tougher schedule than the UFC and welcomed Conor McGregor to step in the ring with him.
Former WWE Champion Sheamus says WWE is more physical than UFC
“In UFC you fight once a year or twice a year, in WWE we’re fighting every week,” Sheamus told Digital Spy. “We’re taking big bumps every week, the physicality we go through is crazy. It’s a different world we’re in, I think it’s definitely more competitive, it’s definitely more physical.”
“It takes more edge being in WWE than it does doing the UFC stuff. I’ll probably get slated online for saying that but until you actually do our schedule you don’t really realize how tough it is. But as I said, if he wants to come in and give it hand, I have no bother stepping in the ring with [Conor McGregor].”
Sheamus also said that he believes it’s not a matter of if but when Conor joins the WWE. He even promised the former UFC double champion the fight of his life if he stepped up to him also adding that he may receive a few slaps he’s not used to.
