“I am a free agent”: Khabib Nurmagomedov hints at a career switch post UFC 257
Khabib Nurmagomedov is apparently seeking a different line of work post his UFC stint. The fighter says he is preparing for his football debut.
After accomplishing almost everything in the UFC Octagon, the No.1 Pound-For-Pound fighter apparently wants to enter the football field. The still to be stripped undisputed UFC Lightweight champion Khabib on Monday declared himself as the free agent.
The fighter took to Twitter to seemingly give an update about his future plans. Via the micro-blogging website, the 32-year-old hinted that he is preparing for his football debut, and is willing to accept offers in that regard.
Preparing for my football debut ⚽️
I’m free agent, and ready to accept offers.
Готовлюсь к дебюту на большом футболе, жду предложения, будем рассматривать. https://t.co/V2NlBX5iqD— khabib nurmagomedov (@TeamKhabib) January 24, 2021
Outside of the intimidating MMA action, Khabib is an ardent football fan. He is a self-proclaimed supporter of the Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid, and in the past has met the club’s leading goalscorer, Cristiano Ronaldo.

So, with a company as great as Ronaldo’s, and legs that can not be taken down, will Khabib take the striking role of a different game? It’s not 2020 anymore, but unbelievable things still happen every day.
Will Khabib Return to UFC?
In the week gone by, speculations were rife about Khabib’s return, and UFC president Dana White on live TV disseminated that Khabib is waiting for something spectacular to take place at UFC 257. In the entire yes/no situation the MMA enthusiasts’ hopes started to build-up. There still exists a belief that the Octagon is yet to see more of Khabib Nurmagomedov, and the Eagle will return to get the 30-0 distinction.
Before the week, It seemed UFC matchmakers were eager to process the second leg of Conor Vs. Khabib but, apparently the result of Conor Vs. Dustin hampered all the plans.
In the post-event presser of UFC 257, Dana White hinted that Khabib is unlikely to return. So, the uncertainty about Khabib’s future is still at large. What do you think will he have another go at the biggest stage of MMA?
