“Russell Wilson Is That Guy…The next 24 hours are fascinating for the Chicago Bears”: Will The Seattle Seahawks Trade Star QB Russell Wilson To The Bears?
Russell Wilson. Russell Wilson. That’s been the only name on the radar for the Chicago Bears throughout this offseason.
With the official NFL Free Agency period set to start, the Bears will need to act quick if they want to acquire the Seahawks star.
“The next 24 hours are fascinating for the Bears. If they can’t acquire Russell Wilson before the free agency period begins, they may have to move on & move on quick to Options B, C, D. Those guys-the Alex Smith, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Andy Dalton types-will get scooped up.”-@PSchrags pic.twitter.com/gF5vi4CDbB

With limited options in the free agent market, the Bears need to make sure they have a backup plan. If the offer for Wilson fails to develop, the Bears will need to go after someone like Alex Smith or Andy Dalton quickly.
Many teams are desperate to get their hands on one of these guys. These teams may simply want Smith or Dalton as viable backup options. However, the Bears need a legitimate starter. After not picking up Trubisky’s fifth year option, it seems unlikely that the former number 2 overall pick will return.
The Bears other option is to roll out Nick Foles. However, Foles isn’t really inspiring fear. The Bears don’t have a high draft pick either to select a top-rated prospect, and so the situation is very dire.
What Would A Trade For Russell Wilson Look Like Between the Bears and Seahawks?
There are several options the Bears can explore to bring in Wilson. The biggest trade pieces the Bears have right now include Kahlil Mack, Kyle Fuller, and David Montgomery, and their 20th overall pick this year.
Would any of those options be enough to swing the tide and convince the Seahawks to let go of Wilson? Well, the Bears would probably need to give some combination of those players, and they would like have to include multiple picks to get the deal done.
Least we forget, Russell Wilson is the biggest reason the Seahawks are considered playoff contenders, and if they are going to part ways with him, they’re going to make sure they get their value’s worth.
One potential deal could even involve three teams:

There are a lot of pieces in play here, and the Bears are extremely desperate to get a new quarterback. For years, the Bears offense has held back the team and prevented it from reaching its full potential. Now that there’s a chance to get one of the best quarterbacks in the game, make no mistake, the Bears are going to try everything.
