With just a day left before the 2021 NFL Draft, the anticipation is at an all-time high. Some of the top prospects named their (mostly unrealistic) dream NFL teammates and opponents.

Tomorrow, the 86th annual NFL draft kicks off in Cleveland, Ohio. Say what you want about Cleveland, but it is certainly an upgrade from Roger Goodell’s basement, the location of last year’s draft.

Up to 50,000 fans will be allowed to attend each of the 3 days of the draft, making it the biggest NFL event since the effects of the COVID pandemic started being felt last March.

The 2021 NFL draft prospects have been lauded as being one of the most talented classes in recent history. This is especially true for the QB prospects. There’s a more than good chance that the first 3 picks will all be QBs, and depending on what Atlanta does with #4, the 4th pick could be a signal caller too.

The draft starts tomorrow, April 29th, at 8pm EST. Day 2 will begin at 7pm EST on Friday and the 3rd and final day starts at noon on May 1st.

2021 NFL Draft Prospects Name Their Dream Teammates/Opponents

A couple of the highly rated QB prospects include Zach Wilson out of BYU and NDSU’s Trey Lance. Both were asked, as a part of the NFL’s media promotion for the draft, who their dream teammate would be in the league.

Wilson answered Davante Adams, praising the Packers’ wideout’s “sticky hands”, while Lance went with Tyreek Hill. Interestingly, both Travis Etienne and Amari Rodgers said they would go with Cam Newton.

It just goes to show that although Cam may not be at the top of his game now, he was simply an inspiration in his prime.

Another interesting, yet expected answer came from Oregon lineman Penei Sewell, projected to go to the Bengals at #5. While most prospects chose established veterans, Sewell went with Chargers QB, and reigning OROY, Justin Herbert.

Of course, this comes as no surprise as the pair were teammates and close friends during their time as Ducks.
