“It was a tweak, I’ll be fine”: LeBron James provides ankle injury update after collision with Nickeil Alexander-Walker in Lakers vs Pelicans

The Lakers talisman Lebron James’s early dismissal from the game due to an ankle roll over terrified their fans, but all seems well now.

The Los Angeles Lakers finished their regular season on a high with a convincing 110-98 win over the Pelicans. However, the highlight of the game was not the win rather it was when LeBron James rolled his ankle and had to leave the game. The King left the court midway in the fourth quarter leaving the whole Lakers team in shock.

A lot of people thought that he might have re-injured himself as he was only playing the third game after coming back from a high ankle sprain. The Lakers talisman went up for a layup and landed awkwardly and therefore he did not want to take any chances.

But later to everyone’s relief, LeBron James revealed that it was just a tweak and he will be ready for the upcoming big clash. The Lakers could only manage a seventh placed finish and now will be facing the inform Steph Curry and the Warriors in the play-in tournament.

“It was a tweak,” James said clarifying the incident that led to his dismissal from the game. “I stepped on [Nickeil] Alexander-[Walker]’s foot on the way down after that last layup, but I’ll be fine.”

LeBron James wary of the Golden State Warriors challenge in the play-in tournament

Speaking on the matchup against the Golden State Warriors and his team’s prep forward, James said, ” Our prep forward is just the same like always. It is a playoff matchup against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. I and some of the guys will prep tomorrow and then give a day off and lock in together as a team and get ready by Wednesday night. It is a ‘playoff game’ for me on Wednesday.”

This has been the lowest seed in James’ career but the King is not bothered to look at the seed. It is mainly because injuries took a massive toll on them. The Lakers small forward is looking at the positive side of things on how the team finished by winning five games of the trot.
