“LeBron James is the actor of the year”: CJ McCollum calls out Lakers MVP for his ‘Oscar-worthy’ performance while getting eye-poked in the play in game
CJ McCollum takes to Twitter to call out LeBron James for acting like he got poked in the eye and says he’s a candidate for actor of the year.
With all the hype surrounding the play in game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors, expectations were high. With the game done and dusted, it’s safe to say that both LeBron James and Steph Curry did not disappoint one bit last night as the Lakers edged out the Dubs in a nail-biting finish.
Though Steph Curry clearly was the best player on the court throughout the 48 minutes of the bout, it was LeBron James who got the last laugh as he drained an incredible 30-foot bomb from the ‘Staple Center’ logo, right in Steph Curry’s face.
He didn’t let Curry live this down either as immediately after he hit the shot, he let the reigning scoring champ know that he was seeing double the whole time. This was of course a reference to him getting clubbed in the face by Draymond Green a couple minutes before his dagger.
CJ McCollum roasts LeBron James for acting like he got hurt by Draymond Green in the 4th quarter.
In a fastbreak that would’ve shifted the momentum towards the Lakers heavily, Draymond Green decided to raise up and stop LeBron James from scoring at any cost. This however, resulted in a reasonably hard foul on the ‘King’, causing him to writhe in agony on the ground as he claims to have been poked in the eye.
CJ McCollum immediately took to Twitter to call out the 4x champ on selling the foul a little too hard by saying, “Actor of the year,” and following it up with a laughing emoji.

Luckily for the Warriors at the time, the foul wasn’t deemed to be a flagrant foul and was ruled to be a common one. Regardless of the outcome, it didn’t stop LeBron James from reminding everybody that he could not see the rim properly and yet, was able to shoot a 30-footer to essentially ice the game for the Lakers.
The Lakers will now go on to face LeBron’s ol’ buddy Chris Paul and his Phoenix Suns in the first round of the Playoffs while the Warriors go up against a familiar foe in the Memphis Grizzlies to try to claim the 8th seed out West and face off against the Utah Jazz.
