“It was more than just a contusion”: Kent Bazemore accidentally slips up and reveals the true severity of Stephen Curry and his tailbone injury
Warriors’ guard Kent Bazemore talks about Stephen Curry and his incredible season, slips up about the true nature of his injury
The Golden State Warriors had their season come to an unexpected end, as the Memphis Grizzlies beat them 117-112. The final play-in game for this season ended with an interesting OT finish. Both the teams managed to get 99 points in regulation. The Dubs managed to make a comeback, after being down 17 at one point, to force overtime. However, a few costly turnovers meant the end of the season for them.
Ja Morant led the way, with his team-high 35 points. Along with Ja, five other Grizzlies score in double digits to get the win. For the Warriors, Stephen Curry scored a game-high 39 points, but in the end, it wasn’t enough to secure the win.

Curry was out of action for five games, in which the Warriors went on a losing streak. Ever since he returned, he went from averaging the third-most points per game for the season, to becoming the scoring champion. Curry lead the Warriors to a 15-5 record in their final 20 games, averaging over 37ppg in the same.
During the post-game press conference tonight, Kent Bazemore slipped up and revealed that Curry’s injury was more serious than the Warriors were making others believe.
Kent Bazemore called it a “hairline fracture” that Steph Curry had in his tailbone. Warriors had been calling it a contusion the last couple months.

Despite having a fracture, Curry had a spectacular season and is one of the final MVP candidates. With the time off now, Stephen Curry would focus on recovery, and prepare for the next season in the right fashion.
