John Cena is revealed as the fifth member of Team SmackDown
After much speculation revolving around John Cena’s role at Survivor Series, Smackdown Live’s commissioner Shane McMahon has dropped a bombshell by announcing “The Cenation Leader”, John Cena as the fifth and final member of the blue brand’s team.
Earlier it was speculated that Cena would be the special guest referee for the Inter brand match between the WWE Champion “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles and the Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar.

The inclusion of John Cena would probably be a one-off appearance for him considering his upcoming shooting schedule. This would probably serve as a platform to build an angle for a potential feud. Cena was last seen at the RAW exclusive pay-per-view No Mercy in September, where he faced Roman Reigns. Since his status as a “free agent”, Cena has the liberty to jump over brands.
The WWE has managed to turn around a lukewarm Survivor Series into an absolutely must watch one with swerves like Styles winning the WWE Championship and the inclusion of John Cena.
John Cena will join forces alongside Shane McMahon, Bobby Roode, Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura as they battle for brand supremacy against Team RAW at Survivor Series pay-per-view to be held at the Toyota Centre, Houston on November 19.
