Barcelona Day Two Testing Results

Day two of the testing was marred by poor weather, but all teams managed to get some laps on the board, with the drivers getting a feel for their car in conditions that weren’t quite ideal for driving but there was a job to be done and the drivers acknowledged.

The weather for tomorrow isn’t quite promising and thus the drivers anyway had to get onto the track today and not wait for it all to clear up, as an extension into Friday seems highly unlikely with that Williams photoshoot already planned.

A lot of data collection was done in the morning, with the track temperatures not that high, but in the afternoon session (although there was no lunch break today) when track temperature rose, the drivers clocked some amazing lap timings.

Teams and drivers would love to reassess after a long day, hoping to come back stronger on Day 3, trying to get used to the machine as much as possible and also attempting at pushing the car to its limits

Vettel lead the charts on Day 2 of testing narrowly beating Botta’s time of 1:19.976.

Day 3 of the testing promises to be another exciting day, with Hamilton and Raikkonen set to take field tomorrow.

The Ferrari was faster than Mercedes today, but was it a case of the car or the driver, we should be able to find out with Hamilton tomorrow.
