Amidst the Kanye West Controversy, Kyrie Irving Calls Former Donda Sports Athlete, Jaylen Brown, His ‘Brother’
Kyrie Irving is an enigma. A man with quirks. He’s your regular, running man dancer, all smiles one day, and a ‘Kanye West’ in a basketball player’s body the next. The man flip-flops between personalities like a fish flopping on a boat.
Nobody knows which side of him one can see the next day. Nets fans are scared each time they hear his name in the news. Much like Kanye West, their younger versions are nothing compared to their present-day forms.
In their recent controversies, which happened to be about the same thing, neither of them seemed too bothered by the negative press. Yes, they did apologize, but it felt more PR-driven because they saw money being drained out of their coffers.
Kyrie Irving said he considers Jaylen Brown “a brother of mine.” Said he didn’t get a chance not getting to know Jaylen on a “deeper level” while teammates in Boston. Said they have grown closer off the floor. #Celtics

Kyrie Irving says he considers Jaylen Brown like a brother
Kyrie Irving and… Jaylen Brown? What in the world? The smartest man in the league is friends with someone who considers the earth flat. The chess club champion, with an anti-vaxxer? Logic dictates this shouldn’t happen, but it is the truth.
However, there seems to be the small problem of Kyrie wanting to implode the Celtics. while Jaylen was still a young buck with the team. That team had a toxic culture brewing all the while, and Brown seemed to have weathered the storm.
And now, all of a sudden, both of them have grown closer, together, off the floor? It makes little sense but camaraderie is something that does not have the most logical source.
As per Kyrie, they know each other on a “deeper level” since they have been on different teams. And we have seen this friendship blossom when Jaylen defended Kyrie on Twitter.
There may be something we don’t know about Uncle Drew – Brown seems to know more
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder; maybe this is what they meant by that. The Nets man and Celtics superstar seem to have formed a bond not understandable to everyone.
Brown and Irving have had two different career trajectories since their time together on the floor. While the Celtics have gone on to play in the finals, Irving has barely made it to the conference semifinals. The Nets man has been called unreliable, while Brown is “Mr. Reliable” for the Cs.
The “brotherly” duo faced off tonight, with Brown coming away with the victory. He scored 34 to Irving’s 18, leading the Celtics to a 103-92 victory.
Their story of camaraderie seems like that of Leonardo and Mikey from TMNT. One is the logical, calm, and collected leader, while the other just spins around.
