Tom Brady’s Father Is “Deeply Concerned” About His Son’s Extreme Obsession With The Game
Tom Brady is one of the finest athletes the world has ever seen. After all, not many quarterbacks have won 7 Super Bowl titles in their over two decade long careers.
A lot of people thought that Tom was finished when he left the Patriots in 2019. He had 6 Super Bowl titles to his name and by that time, had finished almost two decades in the league.
However, defying all odds, Brady joined the Bucs and even ended up winning another Super Bowl title. Moreover, he retired and then un-retired earlier this year and is probably planning to keep playing next season as well.
Tom’s hunger to keep winning football games, his passion to spend as much time as possible on the football field is just astonishing. However, the same obsession is now proving to be a matter of concern for Tom’s father.
Tom Brady Sr. Is Concerned About The Tampa Bay QB’s Obsession For The Sport
Former wide receiver Cris Carter recently appeared on “Up & Adams” podcast where he shared what Tom’s father told him about his son’s extreme obsession with the game.
“The night before the game, I happen to meet up with Tom Brady’s dad and asked him what he thought about the game, the opportunity to win again,” Carter stated.
“He said the only thing he’s worried about is the kid, the kid won’t go home. He said, that the kid is outside still playing, and he won’t come in. It’s raining, everything,” Carter added.
“I’m only afraid the kid won’t stop playing even if he wins,” Brady’s father had further told Carter. Many people often playfully wonder that how can someone be as passionate about staying active in the league as Brady.
While it is true that he has worked extremely hard on his fitness to keep himself in shape in order to keep playing at the highest level, it is actually a bit concerning that Tom is willing to put everything else on stake, including his family, when it comes to playing football.
There have been rumors that Gisele decided to divorce Brady because he un-retired. Although such reports were denied by sources close to the couple, Tom himself admitted that he forgot to even say Hi to his family members who were present at the stadium when the Bucs recently lost against the 49ers.
Tom’s father’s concern for his son isn’t wrong actually. The legendary QB is well into his mid-40s and is still pushing a little too hard to keep playing. Will his obsession yield unfavorable results for Brady in the future?
