Why is Stephen Curry Not Playing Tonight vs Sixers?

The 2022 NBA Champions are not having the title defense season that they would have hoped for. After going down 3-7 to start the season, the Dubs pulled out of that hole and improved their record to 12-10. However, since then, things have been going south yet again. To make things worse, Stephen Curry got injured in their last game.

After Steph got injured, the Warriors had no chance of winning in Indiana and dropped to a 14-15 record for the season. They are now down to the 10th seed in the West. Their road record is down to 2-13, with four road games ahead of them.

So far, the Warriors have not won a single road game in the East this season. Before the game tonight, Steph was announced OUT for the game against the Sixers. Fans are wondering why and how long he would be out.

Why is Stephen Curry OUT tonight?

After Steph got injured against the Pacers, he underwent an MRI. The MRI showed that he had suffered a Labrum injury in his left shoulder.

They further shared that he would be reevaluated in two weeks, but gauge that he’d be out for 3-4 weeks. However, the good thing is that he doesn’t require any surgery as of yet. Talking about the same, Steph said,

Warriors fans hope that the team can at least maintain a .500 record with Steph out. However, this is easier said than done. Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, and the bench guys would have to step up their games to make things easier when their leader returns.
