Alyssa Healy dad name: Is Alyssa Healy related to Ian Healy?
Australian women’s cricket team’s wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy has to be one of the best players in the women’s division. She was recently named the captain of the side on the Indian tour in the absence of Meg Lanning, but unfortunately, she got injured during the series, and she will miss the next ODI series vs Pakistan.
Healy is certainly a big tournament player, and she has proved her class in the big tournaments as well. Australia won the ICC Women’s World Cup where Healy was the highest run-scorer of the tournament, where she scored 509 runs at an average of 56.55 with help of a couple of centuries and half-centuries.
In the final of the tournament, Healy played a record knock of 170 runs. The Women’s IPL is set to start next year, and it is safe to say that Healy will be one of the top names that the franchises will keep an eye on.

Alyssa Healy belongs to a cricketing family, and her father’s name is Greg Healy. Greg used to play for Queensland in domestic cricket in Australia. Sandy Healy is the mother of Alyssa. Ian Healy, who was a legendary Australian cricketer is the uncle of Alyssa, and he did inspire her to be a wicket-keeper.
Ian Healy represented Australia in 119 tests and 168 ODIs between 1988 to 1999. He was well known for his skills behind the wickets and his records were incredible as well. He also represented Queensland in the domestic circuit.
Alyssa is married to Australian pacer Mitchell Starc, and both of them are world champions. Starc has been seen various times on the field to support her wife. Healy started playing cricket at the young age of 16 in her school, and she used to play with the boys and represented New South Wales in the U-19 state competition.
