UFC Legend Reacts to Arrest of Ex-MMA Star Phil Baroni for Allegedly Murdering Girlfriend in Mexico: “Really Hoping This Is a Sick Joke”

In a shocking incident that took place earlier this week, former UFC fighter Phil Baroni was arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend in Mexico.

In the news that followed, it was revealed that he had pushed his girlfriend into the shower after she admitted to cheating on him where she hit her head and passed away after a few minutes.

Several notable names in the combat sports world have reacted to the same, including Michael Bisping, who took to Twitter to react to the shocking news.

As mentioned earlier, the news of Phil Baroni has the MMA world talking and former UFC champion Michael Bisping also took to Twitter to react over the same.

Michael Bisping was visibly left in disbelief as seen by his reaction. The former UFC champion instead hoped that the news was some kind of joke. He. He said: “I’m really hoping this is a sick joke. Phil Baroni arrested for murdering his girlfriend???”

It’s safe to say that Michael Bisping hoped that the news was fake. However, that doesn’t happen to be the case, and the incident is far from a joke.

Did Phil Baroni call the police himself?

Yes, after the incident took place, Phil Baroni himself called the police. As narrated by Baroni himself, after his girlfriend fell unconscious, he helped her to bed. And left the hotel where they were staying to get cigarettes and beer. But upon arriving, his girlfriend showed no signs of life. Then he decided to call the police himself for assistance.

According to the police, the victim’s body was lying naked on the bed wrapped in sheets when they arrived. And she even had multiple bruises. Since then, the former UFC fighter has been charged with homicide and further updates on the case are still awaited.
