Skip Bayless is a sports columnist, commentator, and television personality from the United States. He rose to prominence as a commentator on the ESPN2 show First Take with Stephen A. Smith, which he left in June 2016. On September 6, 2016, Bayless debuted his new show Skip and Shannon: Undisputed with Shannon Sharpe on Fox Sports 1.

Skip Bayless recently received criticism from the NFL community for his insensitive reaction to Damar Hamlin’s in-game collapse. Several NFL fans, however, were curious about his personal life and wife, Ernestine Sclafani.

From a young age, Ernestine Sclafani was intrigued by the fashion industry. She started her career working for fashion design firms but later decided to focus on public relations. She has a lot of experience working in the corporate sector as a result. She began working for Edelman PR in 1995, serving as vice president for ten years. Later, from 2005 to 2018, she worked at Weber Shandwick PR.

The media personality currently serves as the director of her Los Angeles-based firm Ernestine Sclafani Bayless PR. She is also an author, and her book “Balls: How to keep your relationship alive when you live with a sports-obsessed guy” is about her husband.

Skip Bayless and Ernestine Sclafani’s Relationship Timeline

Ernestine Sclafani’s client, who was employed by the biggest PR firm in the world, was invited to the Cold Pizza set, an ESPN program hosted by Skip Bayless. The couple’s chance encounter was undoubtedly the result of a random series of events because Bayless had, for a brief period, forgotten his notes for the lecture. During the commercial break, he was in a mad dash to his dressing room to grab his debate preparation when he met his future wife.

After their first meeting, it took the couple a few phone calls and an open Friday night before they were able to go on their first date. At the age of 43, Ernestine simply questioned why Skip wasn’t married given his prominent success and attractive appearance.

The couple didn’t marry for another 11 years, even though they were engaged from 2010 to 2016. The ESPN personality proposed in 2010 while flying from Newark to Oklahoma City. We were making our yearly trip to his hometown in July to spend a week seeing friends and family. The couple remained engaged for the following six years.

The couple’s Marriage took place on July 28, 2016. The couple told The Knot, “We chose to marry alone. We didn’t let anyone know. The rest of the judge’s courtroom served as witnesses, and the bailiff served as the best man.”
