“If Tom Brady Fails, It’s Always Someone Else’s Fault”: Shannon Sharpe Blasts Veteran QB, Holds Him Responsible For Byron Leftwich’s Firing
Tom Brady has been through a lot in the past few months. His personal life has been in shambles, his FTX investment has yielded poor results, and his on-field performances have been rather poor.
Although Brady played an instrumental role in guiding his unit to a couple of incredibly impressive come from behind victories which eventually proved pivotal in taking them to the playoffs, no one can deny the fact that overall, Tom had a bad season.
In fact the first half of the season was so bad for him that many fans were asking the Bucs to bench him and give a chance to other young quarterbacks. Eventually, Tom was able to salvage some pride but in the end, his unit got brutally knocked out by the Cowboys in the Wildcard Playoff clash.
After the game ended, fans and experts started blasting Brady for not stepping up on the big stage. However, at the same time, there were a lot of people who wanted to put the blame on Brady’s teammates for the embarrassing loss.
Shannon Sharpe is furious with the Bucs for firing Byron Leftwich
Moreover, the Buccaneers recently fired their offensive co-ordinator Byron Leftwich after the team’s offense’s miserable show against Dak’s army. This hasn’t gone down well with Shannon Sharpe as he reckons that Byron paid for Tom’s sins.
“If Tom Brady doesn’t succeed, it’s always got to be someone else’s fault. This is some bulljive.”

In the recent episode of ‘The Undisputed,’ Sharpe said that Byron lost job because Tom Brady played bad this year. “So instead of saying that Tom Brady played bad, Byron Leftwich was fired. The same guy that led you to 3 Division Titles, the same guy that called every single play when you won the Super Bowl, the same guy has now lost his job,” Shannon stated.
“If Tom Brady doesn’t succeed, it’s always got to be someone else’s fault. This is some bulljive,” Sharpe further added. Shannon’s frustration is understandable because Byron hasn’t done too badly in the past few seasons.
So basically, what the Bucs management is trying to portray is that when the team does well, the credit for it has to go to Brady but when the team fails, someone else should take the fault. They might have to step out of this mindset, otherwise, things will probably not improve in the time to come.
