Suspicious Sand and Gravel: Minecraft 1.20 Update; Everything You Need to Know
The Minecraft 1.20 update is set to be one of the biggest ones as Mojang is introducing Archeology to the game. However, that is not the only exciting factor. There are multiple mobs, biomes, blocks, and more. Today we will take a look at two of those blocks, namely the Suspicious Sand and Gravel blocks. In this article, we will cover the uses of these blocks, where you can find them, and more. Without further ado, let us get into it!
Everything You Need to Know about Suspicious Sand Gravel in Minecraft 1.20 Update!
You will need the presence of these blocks and a brush to carry on with Archeology in Minecraft. However, these blocks won’t just appear on your screen in the desert. These blocks are gravity-influencing, so they float in mid-air. However, be careful, if they fall, they will break without dropping all of the items inside. The worst part is players cannot typically pick them up even by using enchantments. One has to use commands or take them from Creative Mode.
All of that being said, let us take a look at where you can find these blocks.
- Suspicious Sand: Ocean ruins, trail ruins, desert wells, and desert pyramids.
- Suspicious Gravel: Ocean ruins and trail ruins
These blocks can camouflage really well so you will need to keep a keen eye out if you want to find them. Reach the specific locations where these blocks are found and investigate well. When you do find one, make sure you absorb it well so you can clearly tell the difference between standard sand and suspicious ones. After finding them, take out a brush and use it on these blocks. After a while of brushing you will see the gravel pop out of items stored within. When the brushing is finished, the whole block turns into a standard sand block.
That is pretty much everything you need to know about these sand blocks. Remember, these blocks will only drop you items if they naturally spawn in the wild. The players that place blocks themselves will not get rewards from them. What are you most excited about in this major update? Let us know in the comments below! For more Minecraft news, click here!
